Linocut Prints

I fell in love with linocut printing after my first experiments with the medium in college. Linocut is a type of relief printing where the artist carves a design into a block of linoleum, rolls ink onto the surface, and prints it onto paper using a press (or in the case of a lot of my prints - a trusty wooden spoon!)  It is a slow and meditative practice that requires a lot of patience. I use a mixture of reduction and multi block printing techniques in my work, and most prints are the result of several layers of ink and carving. Here you can find a selection of my linocut prints.
